Google funds 560 school weather stations

Google commits $5m to build 560 solar-powered weather stations in Irish schools for a four-year research initiative. The project utilizes Google's Earth AI to improve weather forecasting and nowcasting capabilities by combining real-time local observations with historical data. Half the funding supports the AIMSIR centre, while the network remains open-source for global access.
