Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei wants AI models regulated like airplanes

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called for serious and binding regulation of AI, comparing frontier models to airplanes and drugs. He argued governments should have authority to block deployment of models presenting unacceptable risks. Amodei proposed mandatory third-party testing for risks in cybersecurity, biological weapons, loss of control, and automated R&D.
