The Ethereum Foundation warned that wallets, indexers, and gas estimators relying on hardcoded maximum gas limits will break with the Glamsterdam upgrade. Developers must test on Plataberget, which launched Aug. 13, before the fork activates Thursday on Sepolia and Hoodi testnets. EIP-8037 adds a state-gas dimension for new-account transfers.
