Linux 7.4 merges sparse coredump support over sockets to reduce data transfer size. A process with 128 threads now sends 1740014 bytes instead of 1075150848 bytes. A 256MB mapping with one page touched transfers 170542 bytes versus 268890112 bytes. This change avoids wasted work by excluding zeroed data from mappings containing holes.
