Asian AI startups launch models amid Anthropic ban

Chinese cybersecurity firm 360 unveiled Tulongfeng, an AI tool it says rivals Anthropic's banned Mythos. Tokyo-based Sakana AI launched Fugu, a frontier model it claims stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Anthropic's Fable 5 and Mythos Preview. The US export ban on Mythos and Fable 5 occurred two weeks ago.
