Pakistan crypto chief seeks dialogue after ruling

Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority chairman Bilal bin Saqib called for continued dialogue on digital assets after meeting scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani, who backed a ruling against crypto purchases. The ruling from Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi said crypto, including USDT, is not permitted under Islamic law. Saqib urged scholars, regulators, and industry participants to discuss distinctions among digital-asset categories.
