Mistral Launches 1T-Parameter Open-Weight Model

French AI lab Mistral launched Mistral Large 4, nicknamed le Chonk, on Tuesday. This 1-trillion-parameter open-weight model was trained on 4,000 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs. The release targets enterprises needing on-premise deployment or private cloud access, with full weights scheduled for release on October 27.
