Gabe Newell's €700M Vessel for Inkfish Begins Construction

RV11000, a 162-meter deep-sea research vessel, begins construction at Vard's Romania shipyard for Inkfish. The €700 million vessel supports up to 130 scientists and engineers with integrated labs and workspaces. It is the largest single-vessel order in Vard's history and the biggest deep-sea research contract for a Norwegian shipyard.
