Google Play terms reveal hidden data costs

Google's updated Play Terms of Service, effective July 29, 2026, clarify that users are responsible for carrier charges from background mobile data usage by Play system services. The terms also allow Google to charge recurring subscriptions up to two days before the next billing date, instead of one day.
