New serious vulnerabilities spiked around release of Claude Mythos Preview

Anthropic announced that its internal model, Claude Mythos Preview, can autonomously discover software vulnerabilities in April 2026. Notable organizations including Microsoft, Google, Apple, and AWS disclosed approximately 1,500 high- or critical-severity CVEs in June. This volume represents more than three-and-a-half times the monthly record before that announcement. Project Glasswing partners have used this capability to identify over ten thousand vulnerabilities since commencement.
