Figma built PGKeeper, a connection and load management service that replaces PgBouncer in front of its Postgres fleet. The service was created to handle Figma's rapidly growing database workload and increased traffic. PGKeeper sits between DBProxy and Postgres, with each Postgres machine served by dedicated pooler replicas.
