Canada invests 1.6 billion in AI firm Cohere

Prime Minister Mark Carney announced Thursday that Canada will invest up to 1.6 billion in Toronto AI firm Cohere alongside private backers including Nvidia and Bell. The deal keeps the company Canadian and values it at 20 billion USD, following reports of 2 to 3 billion USD talks last month.
