Microsoft releases October 2026 Patch Tuesday updates fixing 1,413 CVEs, a record surpassing all of 2025. The batch includes 1,102 Windows flaws and 134 Office issues. A critical exploited zero-day, CVE-2026-96951, bypasses Mark of the Web defenses. CISA added the threat to its KEV catalog by October 16.
