Europe's sovereign cloud rules challenge US tech giants

Europe codified sovereign cloud requirements in late 2025 to assess provider compliance with EU regulations and foreign jurisdiction visibility into data transfers. Zscaler's Casper Klynge warned that companies failing to align with these requirements will face difficulties in the European market. European cloud providers hold under 20% of a market that has more than doubled since 2019.
