Ireland EV scrappage pilot fills in one hour

Ireland's ICE2EV scrappage pilot reached its 2000-applicant limit within one hour of launch. The scheme offers up to €5000 in additional grants toward a new BEV, stacking with Ireland's existing €3500 EV purchase grant for a total of €8500. Transport Minister Darragh O'Brien said the government will assess results before deciding on next steps.
