Intel's performance-enhanced 18A-P process has entered risk production, offering a 9% performance improvement at iso-power or an 18% power reduction at iso-performance. The node is backward compatible with 18A designs, meaning no design changes are required for porting. Thermal resistance is cut by 40%.
