A classical NLP experiment on Kaggle's Spooky Author Identification task tests how far bag-of-words and stacking models can classify sentences from Edgar Allan Poe, Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, or H. P. Lovecraft. The dataset has 19,579 labeled training sentences and 8,392 unlabeled test sentences with mild class imbalance.
