Qualcomm price hikes may raise Samsung device costs

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon said chipset prices will rise due to increasing manufacturing costs across wafer fabrication, assembly, test, advanced packaging, memory, and materials. Samsung may pass costs to customers, absorb them, or rely more on Exynos chipsets for Galaxy S, Z, Tab S, Watch, and Book Edge devices.
