BeamFS creator Aurelien Desbrieres requests feedback on an 18-patch proposal to replace FTRFS. The system uses Reed-Solomon codes inside every block to correct small damage during reads, avoiding fallbacks. Testing shows ext4 and ext3 returned wrong data, while Btrfs refused to read the file. Desbrieres used Anthropic's Claude to write the code and check patches.
