Waymo splits with Uber in 2028

Waymo confirms it will split with Uber in Austin and Atlanta starting January 2028. Co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana told Bloomberg News the robotaxi company will offer rides directly through its own smartphone app instead of the ride-hail giant's platform, ending a partnership that began to expire in May 2028.
