NASA study: Earth fungi survive lunar south pole

A NASA study in Science Advances found Earth fungi could survive up to 7 days near the lunar south pole. Researchers modeled conditions at Nobile Rim and Connecting Ridge using Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter data, comparing them with spacecraft-borne bacteria and fungi survival limits.
