Opera VPN Auto-Activates on Public Wi-Fi

Opera now lets desktop users in the US and France set its free built-in VPN to turn on automatically when connecting to public or unsecured Wi-Fi. The opt-in feature, rolling out today, removes the need to manually enable protection on vulnerable networks. Opera says the VPN is independently audited by Deloitte and operates under GDPR rules.
