Huawei's second-gen triple-foldable phone to launch next week

Huawei will launch the second-generation tri-fold Mate XTs on Sept. 4. The device runs on the Kirin 9020 chip, supports Tiantong satellite communication, and uses HarmonyOS. Analysts estimate an average retail price above RMB 22,000 ($3,000). Huawei shipped 3.74 million foldable units in H1 2025, commanding 75% of China's market.
