Tencent Releases Real-Time AI Interpreter

Tencent releases Hy-SimulMT, an open-source model for simultaneous Chinese-English interpretation with real-time voice cloning. The model achieves a streaming translation lag of approximately three seconds on the RealSI benchmark, outperforming four of five commercial APIs. Users can access the technology via Tencent's Hy Translate app.
