GitHub launches new secret scanner

GitHub launches a new context-aware secret scanner using a fine-tuned ModernBERT classifier to reduce false positives. The system cuts post-push scan time by 86% and saves over 98% in costs compared to the previous LLM-based pipeline while improving user acceptance by 11.5%.
