AUO Plans Cheaper Smartwatch MicroLEDs in 2027

AU Optronics confirms it is working on new microLED smartwatches with a Gen 4.5 production line starting in the first half of 2027. The supplier expects to halve microLED costs every two years, potentially allowing Garmin to launch a significantly lower price model in September 2027.
