Agentic Testing: Where Agents Fit in the E2E Testing Stack

Agent-driven end-to-end tests validate whether a goal can be achieved, not a fixed UI path. Over 200 runs using Playwright MCP and CLI, agents took varied action sequences to reach the same outcome. Each run costs $15, 30 and takes over 10 minutes, raising questions about fitting into modern workflows.
