Coinbase software engineer Alex Wormuth created Stonkfly, an open-source project that uses a simulated male fruit fly brain and ventral nerve cord to trade Bitcoin. The model, comprising 166,700 nodes and over 124 million synaptic contacts, receives market data and translates neural activity into buy/sell decisions on Coinbase.
