OpenAI launched Patch the Planet, pairing security researchers with open-source projects to reduce maintainer burden. Trail of Bits committed its entire security research organization. In the first week, engineers worked on 19 projects, discovered hundreds of bugs and 51 issues, with 19 already fixed. Participants include cURL, NATS Server, and Python.
