Sandisk and SK Hynix published the first open High Bandwidth Flash (HBF) specification through the Open Compute Project. HBF creates a memory tier between HBM and SSD storage, supporting up to 512GB with bandwidth from 0.4TB/s to 3.0TB/s via UCIe.
