Bitdefender discovered 13 apps on Google Play communicating with servers controlling preinstalled malware named Midnight Mimosa on MediaTek Android devices. Infected devices are mostly in Mexico, France, Italy, the U.S., Germany, Brazil, Spain, the U.K., Canada, Romania, Poland, and Thailand.
