China's LineShine supercomputer, housed at the National Supercomputing Centre in Shenzhen, has claimed the No. 1 position on the TOP500 list, displacing the US government's El Capitan system. It is the first Chinese machine to top the list since 2017 and relies entirely on traditional CPUs rather than GPUs.
