OpenAI Disrupts Chinese Distillation Attack

OpenAI says it disrupted an adversarial distillation campaign by individuals linked to China's Moonshot AI that began July 1 and peaked with 16,000 requests from over 4,000 users on July 24 and 25. OpenAI banned accounts and tightened controls, calling distillation a national security risk.
