Gamers beware: malicious wallpapers on Steam found stealing accounts

Malware is spreading through Steam Workshop via Wallpaper Engine's application wallpapers, which run foreign code on a user's computer. Attackers target gamers in China and Russia to steal accounts or install backdoors and crypto miners. Dozens of malicious wallpapers have been downloaded thousands of times.
