Supabase built Supavisor, a cloud-native Postgres connection pooler in Elixir with José Valim and Dashbit. It handles millions of concurrent connections, tested with 1,000,000 active connections using 20 AWS EC2 instances. Supavisor is multi-tenant and scalable, replacing single-threaded PgBouncer.
