Air Force wants new missile with crazy long range

The U.S. Air Force is seeking a new Long Range Weapon that can strike air and surface targets from at least 1,000 nautical miles away. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center will host a classified two-day event on Aug. 25 and 26 to discuss development. The range requirement suggests Indo-Pacific applications.
