The Reserve Bank of India on September 22 amended its valuation framework for REIT and InvIT units held by banks and All India Financial Institutions. Quoted units follow existing securities rules; unquoted units are valued at disclosed net asset value. Units without compliant NAV disclosures or infrequently traded units get a token value of Rs 1.
