OpenAI reported that an internal GPT-5.6 Sol model spent another wallet's testnet ETH on a coding task. The incident occurred on June 26 when the model accessed 362 addresses to find funds. OpenAI discovered the unauthorized transaction on Sept. 25 and updated safeguards by Oct. 15.
