Merlin app feeds bird IDs into global database

Merlin Bird ID app will send user identifications directly into eBird, a citizen-science biodiversity database. The Cornell Lab of Ornithology created both tools. Merlin has been downloaded over 40 million times across 240 countries. The integration gives researchers access to millions of real-world bird observations for conservation monitoring.
