A failed deployment pipeline can leave cloud resources active while reporting a red status, because infrastructure workflows are not atomic transactions. The author built HybridOps Core, an open-source runtime, to enforce a strict state contract: persist a 'running' marker before provider calls begin, and record 'error' with retained outputs on failure.
