India Secures Global Uranium for Nuclear Expansion

India is securing uranium supplies from Uzbekistan, Australia, and Canada to fuel its goal of 100 GW of nuclear capacity by 2047. A new long-term framework with Uzbekistan is being finalized. A nine-year, $2.6 billion deal with Canada's Cameco was signed. Domestic policy changes now allow private companies to build and operate nuclear plants, increasing fuel demand.
