Hybrid System Boosts Aircooled Porsche 911s

Chuck Moreland and Vonnen designed the Shadow Drive, an electric motor that sandwiches between the engine and transaxle of aircooled 911s. The stage one kit adds 75 horsepower and 75 lb-ft of torque, while stage two adds 150 hp and 150 lb-ft. The motor fits inside the bellhousing and sends power directly to the crankshaft.
