Chainalysis Breach Exposes Customer Emails

Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis disclosed that an unidentified hacker using offensive agentic techniques accessed some non-sensitive customer data including names and emails this month. The firm found no evidence of access to investigation content or unencrypted passwords. Chainalysis has contracted third-party cybersecurity experts and is using large language models to support a broad security review of its platform.
