China's three telecom giants race into the AI token economy

China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom launched token-based service plans this week, shifting from data price wars to AI token monetization. China Telecom offers consumer plans from 9.9 yuan for 10 million tokens and professional plans up to 299.9 yuan. China Mobile piloted a Tencent partnership in Shanghai offering 400,000 tokens for 1 yuan.
