Fil-C's InvisiCaps capability model enforces memory safety for C and C++ using 64-bit pointers on 64-bit systems. InvisiCaps reduce performance overhead to about 4x in bad cases, support union usage, and are thread-safe. Previous models PLUT, SideCaps, and MonoCaps were abandoned due to speed, size, or compatibility issues.
