Sony's next-gen PlayStation will go 'beyond the living room'

Sony will cease production of all new PlayStation game discs starting January 2028, moving to digital-only releases via the PlayStation Store and retailers. The company cited consumer preference for digital media. This applies to all new games, including third-party titles. Games released before that date remain unaffected.
