Apple opens iOS to alternative app stores in Brazil

Apple today enabled alternative app marketplaces in Brazil under a settlement with CADE. Developers can distribute apps outside the App Store and use third-party payment systems. Apps must still pass Notarization review. The changes apply to iOS 26.5 and up, with a new commission structure similar to Japan's.
