VRChat denies hack affecting 2.4 million users

A breach notice filed with Maine's Attorney General claimed 2,436,782 VRChat users had data exposed from a cloud intrusion between May 10-12, 2026. VRChat called the report a fake breach notice, stating it has no evidence its systems or user data were compromised.
