Germany to create AI safety agency

Germany announced an institute for AI safety to analyze model performance and risks. The National Security Council approved the move to address cybersecurity threats from advanced AI. The institute will share information internationally and work toward harmonized AI standards. Around 334,000 cybercrime cases were recorded last year.
