The COSMIC desktop for Linux includes tiling windows by default with no extra apps or configuration files. Tiling can be enabled or disabled per workspace, and windows can be stacked. Keyboard shortcuts and mouse controls work intuitively. Version 1.3 adds a frosted glass effect.
